Background:

Our Gratitude towards Sri Raghavendrateertharu,the great Saint of Mantralaya and Bhikshaalaya Sri Appanacharya’s Gurustotras wordings are pondered here.

Meaning:

Sri Raghavendrateertharu a great Daivika Chetana full of Divya Punya born as a human being. He never wasted a single second in his life, worked for the welfare of Manukula day in and day out. Always attained the Affection of Sri Hari to the maximum extent. Sri Madacharya’s Philosophy of Dwaita made popular all the time. Sri Harisarvottama Vayujeevottama are the two slogans of Rayaru and practically worked for that. The whole of routine of Rayaru was in accordance with the teachings and preachings of Sadaachaara of our Sri Anandateertharu. With all this Rayaru lead a Saarthaka – Worthy life. Today for us Mantralaya Yativarya is our KulaDaiva. Trikaalasmaraneeya so sacred and great is our Rayaru. A Total accumulation of Punya of all the Avataara’s is really Voluminous and we say as high and great as the Himalyan height. Belief towards Rayaru will lead to Heaven. It means all the desired things are obtained by Rayaru with their strong Faith and Belief. So today thecrores and crores of the World Devotees have found the real happiness through Bhakti and Faith Nambike. As our Koushika Kshetra’s Sri GuruJagannathaDasaru has said:

NAMBI KETTAVARILLAVO EE GURUGALA.
Bhikshaalaya Sri Appanacharya has actually seen and practically experienced this, when he was along with Rayaru. So on the day of Brindavana Pravesha, while Appanacharya was crossing the Tungabhadra from Japadakatte to reach Mantralaya and to have the last Darshana of his beloved Guru. Devotional ecstasy, affection and Faith made him to Compose by saying – Pathana of Gurustotra by Ashukavitva – Spontaneous Overflow. Appanacharya has said:

SantaanaSampatParishuddhaBhktihi
VignyaanaVaagdehaSupaatavadeen.
DatwaaShareerothha Samasta Doshaan
HatwasanovyadGuruRaghavendraha.

Devotees are Blessed by Rayaru Good Santaana, Wealth,Pure Bhakti – Devotion. SriGururaya removes and once for all will put an end to all the bodily, mentally defects and diseases. Those ailing from incurable diseases are being cured by Rayaru. By the Paramaanugraha of Sri Raghavendra many Devotees have acquired Divya Drushti, Born Blind have got Eyes good sight and the dumb gained the power of Speech talk. Poornaayuhu Poorna Sampattihi. i.e. Complete life Span and Complete wealth. So the wordings of Strotra:

Andhopi Divya DrushtisyadedaMukopiVaakpatihi
Purnaayuhu Purna Sampattihi StotrasyasyaJapaadbhavaet.

Abundant Devotees have found their life in the Sacred Yard of Tungabhadra under the Kind Shelter of Rayaru in Mantralaya. Our Bhikshaalaya Japadakatte Appancharya has described very meaningfully:

Sri Raghavendrateertharu has freely and heartily propagated, developed the Philosophy of our Sri Sri Madacharyaru. Just as our Rayaru is Avatara Chetana, Sri Vijayeendraru also wasthe Avatara of Sri Vibudhendrateertharu, the founder of our Rayara Mutt.Sri Sudheendrateertharu was the Avatara of Sri Jitamitraru. So our Yatis are Great. Appanacharya in this Shloka has upheld the truth and the Noble Cause of these Great Chetanas.

Each and every word of Gurustotra composed by Bhikshaalaya Sri Appanacharya has proved Siddhi, thus our Gurustotra is popular as STOTRARAJA. Sri Raghavendra Stotra is GAYATRI to all of us.

The 336th.Aradhana of Rayaru is in this Shraavana Maasa . Shraavana Krishna Dwiteeya, The thick Black Clouds are gathered in the Sky and everywhere there, the day is not of light and delight as our Rayaru is entering the Brindavana, Tungabhadra has expressed he deep concern by overflowing, Megharaja is showering incessantly, the Devotees are of great grief stricken mood and simply shedding the tears. Our Sri Raghavendrateertharu Sthitapragnya without caring all this delivering the last speech to the Devotees with great concern and affection. Even at that moment seeing the heavy rains, asked Diwan Venkanna to make shelter to the Devotees as their bodies are wet.

In those days there were no Shaamiyanas, Venkanna brought the large and huge branches of trees and made the shelter. How great and Punyavanta was our Diwan Venkanna, as he got the Seva of this great Gururaya. By seeing Mantralaya Rayaru and Bhikshaalaya Appanacharya we say : NA BHUTO NA BHAVISHYATI. We have never found and in future we will never find such great personalities. The author of Sri Hari Kathamrutasaara Sri JagannathaDasaru has sang: Yaake Mooka Naadyo Guruvae Nee Yaake Mookanaadyo, before Rayara Brindavana. Sitting in the Brindavana with YogaSiddhi Rayaru is Bestowing us like Kalpavruksha and Kamadhenu. The magnanimous heart of Rayaru and the Affection of Sri Hari on Rayaru is protecting the crores and crores of Devotees of this Universe.

Om Sri Raghavendraaya Namaha the Aashtakshari(in Devanagari scripts sri Raghavendraaya Namaha is only of eight letters) is the Beejakshara - our Siddhi Mantra.So Devotees always we have to try to see Rayaru through our inward eyes to get everything in life and to get rid off from all the difficulties:
