Sri YAdavendra, the senior disciple of sudhIndra tIrtha, visited RAyaru and expressed great happiness at his ordination. He declined the offer of becoming the Head of the matha and went away on tour.
SudhIndra tIrtha shed his mortal coils at AnEgondi (what we know as navabrindAvana) on Rudhira nAma samvatsara, Phalguna bahula dvitiya, corresponding to 1623. RAyaru consecrated. his brindAvana there and performed all the rituals necessary for a sanyasi with devotion and a heavy heart. RAyaru became the Head of the maTha.
